Mercado de colores

We bring canvases, brushes and paints, at weekends, to the children who attend the main city-markets of different cities of the country. We create playful and art-filled spaces for them to let their talent overflow on custom-made canvases, which will be exhibited later on.

Painters work together with Fundación MILO to provide a pedagogic environment of caring and sharing, while these days of art and creativity take place. Thanks to the International Organization for Migration (IOM), we have painted more than 36 square meters of canvas, with the participation of more than 200 artists.

Help us to bring more brushes, colors and canvases to the children of more city-markets. Your contribution allows us to distribute art to infants who enjoy every minute of the MILO experience.

Fundación MILO, through the support of its donors, brings Art Therapy workshops every two weeks to dozens of children, patients and visitors who attend hospitals in Quito.

Laughter, music, painting, sculpture and other artistic expressions help us to promote well-being and generate a space of dissociation for all the beneficiaries.

Each workshop has a godfather or godmother: National artists, therapists and specialists in pedagogy will be in charge of conveying different messages of creativity, expression, and self-reflection. Additionally, the participating children and individuals will develop communication and fine motor skills.

Danza Pro Ellas

With your monthly contribution, many neighborhoods will become dance academies with psychological support, focused on women.

Danza Pro Ellas is an encounter among women, in which through the workshops held in different neighborhoods of the country, spaces for self-awareness and connection with other forms of artistic expression are opened.

Dance artists, psychology experts, and NGOs working in conjunction with MILO come together to provide conscious dance lessons and workshops to women in the neighborhood. We create lasting bonds and communication networks that will allow participants to stay in permanent contact with aid entities, independent organizations, and international development projects.

Trazos caminantes

“Trazos Caminantes”, one of our emblematic projects, was executed in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), United Nations (UN), and with the financial support of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugee & Migration (PRM).

Supporting people, especially those in a situation of mobility, by offering them a caring and fraternal space that encourages the use of imagination; so that through painting and inspired by Roger Ycaza they can express themselves artistically.

As a final product, in the Santa Clara market and the Plaza de las Américas; hundreds of participants, including children, painted their art on over 36 meters of canvas. Additionally, Roger Ycaza painted a 1.80 meters high artwork during the Artistic Happening.
