The Foundation was created after 3 years of work on the 1865 Museo Rock Ecuatoriano project, created in 2017 with the largest collection of original articles of contemporary national music. The Rock Museum 1865 received the Q distinction from the Municipality of Quito, which accredited it as one of the places of international tourist quality in 2019.

Within the framework of the artistic projects that Fundación MILO has promoted, artists such as Roger Ycaza, Eliana Guerrero, David Holguín, Fernanda Ron, René De La Croix, Guillermo Bolaños and María Isabel Suárez, have supported several of them.

Additionally, the Fundación MILO team has experience in the design, execution, and monitoring of social projects, and particularly of human mobility, at the national level, in alliance with the International Organization for Migration (IOM); United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR); U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugee & Migration (PRM); Inter-American Development Bank (IDB); among others.

Nuestro propósito

Art is our main tool. Through it, we seek the integral formation of the human being, the promotion and dissemination of the national artist; as well as the conservation and restoration of artworks, research and technology.

We aim to become one of the leading NGOs incentivizing art and promoting peace through artistic strengthening, for the construction of a peaceful and inclusive society.

Como lo hacemos quienes somos

How we do?

We use art to help thousands of children, adolescents, and vulnerable groups develop their skills in an environment of peace and freedom.

Through United Nations capitals, international entities, local sponsors and personal donations, Fundación MILO executes projects that cross-cut social aid with art and culture. Art therapy, artistic installations, pedagogical workshops and itinerant artworks are some of the tools which would bring peace through art.

With your contribution and ONGs, we keep all our projects active in various corners of the country.
